Kathleen Yazzie builds this ring around a square mosaic of turquoise, cutting the stone into rectangles of different sizes and separating each section with narrow silver channels. The pieces vary naturally in shade and matrix, so even with such a precise geometric layout, the surface doesn’t feel overly uniform. A wide four-part split shank gives the square face plenty of support while keeping the sides of the ring open.
