Larry Gay grew up in the mountains of Colorado and Montana. Since 1987, he has participated in major art shows. He has won a vast array of awards for his draw dropping sculptures. These include Best of Show at Trails West Show in 1992 and 1993. Best of Show Bronze at Silver State Art Exhibition in Las Vegas in 1993, Peoples Choice Award at Northwest Territorial Art Show in 1993, and many, many more. 

      His ability to sculpt larger than life statues has garnered Larry Gay collectors from as far as Japan and Australia. Larry Gay has also been commissioned to sculpt incredible pieces such as the world record whitetail deer, "Hanson Buck" and the world famous white buffalo calf, "Miracle". Larry Gay became on of the few living artists to have his work accepted into the permanent collection of the C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana.
