This is a hand-painted, hand-carved Oaxacan Armadillo folk art by Artist: Azucena Santiago. This Armadillo piece is a vibrant turquoise blue with beautiful folk art details.The tail is detachable for easier shipping. The piece is signed on the bottom.

Materials & Measurements:

• Copal Wood: The wood comes from the Copal Tree (Bursera glabrifolia). Fresh-cut copal wood is soft and easily workable; it has a small heart so it does not split. It sands to a smooth porcelain-like finish and it doesn't absorb much paint.
• Acrylic Paints
• The armadillo is approximately 4" high by 6.5" wide by 3.5" deep
• The armadillo tail's height is approximately 4.75"
• The armadillo weighs approximately 374 grams
