Lynn Bean was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan. She graduated from Kendall School of Design in Grand Rapids with a degree in Illustration. Her career began in retail fashion illustration traveling between Michigan and California. Eventually Lynn moved to the Ochoa Mountains in Oregon in 1979.

Her time in Oregon was spent on a remote mountain ranch. Her experiences at the ranch inspired her to capture the rare moments and beauty of animals. Her giclée prints combine tooled copper, feathers, leather, horsehair, and beadwork creating incredible 3D affects.

Lynn's many paintings and drawings have been featured in national exhibits, galleries, gift shops, and periodicals. She has her own art gallery which features a large amount of her artwork, located in Sumpter, Oregon. As well as the gallery she co-owns in Seaside, Oregon.
