This Round Blue Horsehair Pottery by Roger Calhoun has a full, rounded shape that gives the natural horsehair markings plenty of room to wander across its surface. The dark, smoky lines form irregular patterns in the pale clay, with some spreading into soft shadows and others remaining sharply defined. The crackled turquoise-blue finish around the shoulder provides a colorful contrast, while the wide, dark rim completes the vessel's simple, balanced form.
