Black Marble Coyote Zuni Fetish by Patrick Wallace SWT-0090
This authentic hand-carved Zuni Black Marble Coyote Fetish is by Artist Patrick Wallace. It features authentic black marble inlaid with turquoise eyes, a Turquoise "Spirit Offering" on the back of the Coyote, and etchings of two arrows on either side of the fetish.
The Coyote Fetish represents the Trickster, those who work well in groups, and it can also be associated with laughter and humor. To the Native Americans, this particular fetish alluded to the western directional hunting set, replacing the bear in the healing directional set. Characteristics of a coyote are arrogance and a sense of self-importance. Nevertheless he can be a great teacher when it comes to showing us our impulsive and self centered nature, revealing how these traits can fail to serve us well. Those who wish to gain insight into their habitual behavior will want this Black Marble Coyote Fetish in their collection.
