This Oaxacan Bull Wood Carving by Abundio Muñoz is hand-carved from copal wood and painted with acrylics. The bull stands with its head raised beneath a pair of long curved horns, while nearly every section of its golden yellow body carries a different painted pattern, from tight spirals and geometric bands across the torso to black-lined pink and green panels along the legs. Bright blue ears and accents along the back add another break in the pattern, and the gold-tipped horns and hooves finish the figure.
